100 KATA FOR KARATE DAY 2023

TORSDAGEN den 26 oktober klockan 18:15-20 (på ordinarie kata-passet, som börjar lite tidigare denna dagen)

 

Vi startar med Taikyoku sono san och kör sen vidare med Pinan Sono Ichi – Pinan Sono Ni – Pinan Sono San – Pinan Sono Yon – Pinan Sono Go – Gekisai Dai – Yantsu – Tsuki No Kata – Gekisai Sho

 

Avsikten är inte att lära ut kata, man hänger med så gott man kan

 

The 10th annual Worldwide 100 Kata for Karate Day Challenge event (location in Okinawa: Naminoue Shrine, Naha. And at various dojos worldwide) is a participation event that celebrates the rich tradition of Okinawan karate practice handed down over the centuries and now practiced worldwide by an ever growing number of karateka.

This international martial arts event led from Okinawa, the home of kobudo and karate consists of performing 100 kata in sequence. Participants are free to choose a preferred kata, and progress at their own pace. Participation is open to all ages and levels. Even if you are not sure you can complete 100 repetitions we warmly encourage you to take on the next challenge event and do your best. The only way you can fail is by not taking part!
